We have been bumped from Tuesday, November 27th to Wednesday, November 28th. I apologize for any inconvenience this might cause but it is out of my control. There will be orange belt grading on Thursday, November 29th. Anyone wishing to grade to green belt or higher will have the opportunity on Tuesday, December 4th. In the circumstance where weather might force a class cancellation please check our website or text my cell 204.856.3684. School buses might not run but as long as I can get to town classes will run. If you have any other concerns feel free to talk to myself or one of the other instructors.

The tournament Saturday was a huge success! There were no real problems and the club made a bunch of money that all goes back to providing better service, training, and opportunities for all our judoka.
There were 126 competitors. Portage got 29 medals as well as 14 U10 participation awards.
The biggest deal was the HUGE turnout of U10 and U12 fighters. The club really thrives with the interest of these kids, as well as the parents’ willingness to get them involved and volunteer. As older kids and their families leave, it’s fantastic to see new members rising up to keep the club going strong.
Only two more weeks of classes, and the last ones are always the most fun!
