We just had the first tournament of the year, and I got a chance to watch and coach most of the crew that came out. I’ll post results, and (sigh) nicknames a little later, but I wanted to say how moved I was by everyone who competed. Nearly the entire crew was at some point up against bigger (sometimes WAY bigger) and more experienced judoka, and the effort and spirit everyone brought to those matches was fantastic to see.
I was super proud of you all today.
