Saturday, November 22nd is the Judo Club’s social in support of Alex Wishart. For those of you who don’t know, Alex is our young club member who has been battling luchemia, and we’re all eager to do what we can to help.
The social’s at the Gainsborough Community Hall, 61156 Hwy 240S. It’s an all ages event that runs from 8PM to 1AM, with an 8:30 hay ride, cash bar, silent auction, late night lunch, Live DJ, Carter’s magic, and whatever other madness we can dream up!
Tickets are $10 each and available from Randean or any sensei.

Ryan’s Off To Quebec
Hey gang!
Our boy Ryan Walker is off with the provincial team to the Quebec Open in Montreal this weekend! I know I speak for everyone, when I say I am very eager to hear stories of the tournament, and just how good the poutine was at La Banquise.

The Tournament Season Begins!
Hey everyone!
Here’s the new Portage Judo website! It’ll be updated like mad as the season gets underway, so check back often. If you have any club pictures (unless for some reason you only want to see pictures with Pinto in them), or any questions and concerns, please email us at portagejudoclub@gmail.com. This is a new address. Change your address books accordingly!
It’s going to be a busy couple weeks for the club, getting ready for the Brandon Open on Saturday, October 18th! There’s no tournament details yet, but you’ll know them as soon as we do.
So, come out this week, and learn what Natasha, Ryan, and Pinto picked up at the weekend clinic with World Silver Medalist Antoine Valois-Fortier!

2014 – 2015 Registration
Portage Judo Club will be holding a registration night at the Portage PCU Center on Thursday September 11 from 7-8pm.
First class will be held on Tuesday September 16. Class size will be limited this year to 25 per class so it is important to register.
