It appears that the Selkirk Open Judo Tournament is scheduled to be held on January 20, 2024 according to the Judo Manitoba website. There is currently no technical package or online registration available, but it is something for interested competitors to be aware of.

Selkirk Open 2023

There will be no classes during the holiday season (December 25 – January 3). Next regular classes will be held on Thursday, January 4.

Judo Manitoba Open Provincials will be held December 10 at the Sport Manitoba Sport Complex, 145 Pacific Avenue, Winnipeg. This is a pre-registration only tournament. Registration closes on December 6. To register, follow the link below:

The 2023 Manitoba Open was held the weekend of October 13-15. 8 members of Portage Judo Club competed with the following results:

Gold: Eric Jenner (2), Tennyson Verwey.

Silver: Avery-Mae Campbell

Bronze: Jacob Dudgeon-Sykes

David Bevan, Owen Bevan, Wade Campbell, and Tristan Jenner also competed but did not medal.

All classes are cancelled October 3rd due to the provincial election.

First class 6:30-7:15 for ages 8-12 beginner or novice judoka.

Second class 7:15-8:00 for ages 8-12 advanced judoka.

Third class 8:00-9:30 for ages 13 and older both novice and advanced.

First classes start on September 19th.

Fees for U12 are $275 and $300 for 13 and over age group.
